ROBIN LOVERING

After graduating with a BA in Architecture from Cal, I spent 20 years in the Air Force as a draft dodger. I never intended to stay in but the assignments were great. I Retired as a Major in 1988.
I Then Worked for 23 years at Sac State as a Facility Manager and retired in 2011. I am now enjoying life as a triple dipper, playing with my grand kids and relaxing in Auburn, CA.

My wife Cheryl (married August 1968) and I have enjoyed traveling around the world while in the Air Force. My assignments took us to Europe for 4 years, the Philiipines for 4 years and various locations in the US.

My oldest daughter is an English professor at ARC and my youngest daughter just received her doctorate and is the Founder of the Good Energy Collective a policy research organization building the progressive case for nuclear energy as an essential part of the broader climate change agenda.

Aside from my daily lunches in the Lion’s den on countless Red’s tamales and frozen orange juice bars my most memorable experiences were with instructors and classroom “High jinx”. Both of my history instructors, Mr. Ryan and Mr. Einspahr gave me an appreciation of U.S history on a personal basis bringing history to life and helped me pass my History and Institution exam for Cal.
I am sure no one can forget all of the stunts we pulled on Mr. Lindberg in Physics.
Mr. Bennett and Mr. Dyer prepared me for college level chemistry and made it a breeze in my freshman year in college.
Mrs. Londahl made English fun but no matter what she instilled in me it still took me two “Bonehead English” classes at Cal to get into English 1A. My daughter teaches now those classes at CSUS. I hope she has more success than Lanita had with me.

Any ocean beach. My wife doesn't like the wind and must stay out of the sun so I am kind of alone for my beach paradise.

Since my wife and I own a book store I am an avid reader. I enjoy Le Child, John Sanford. I recently completed all of Kevin hearne's Iron Druid series and am noworking on Slakey's Brilliance series. I am currently working my thru all of the James Patterson Alex Cross novels.
