Ernie was a classmate of mine since second grade at Hollywood Park Elementary Schoo, through Joaquin Miller, and McClatchy. He was a sweet and funny guy. May he rest in peace.
Hi, Nancy, Yes, Ernie was in your mother's third grade class along with many others. Look on the website in the left hand column under PHOTO GALLERIES and you can see the entire third class including your mother! Sweet memories.
You do not forget the people that you played with on the playground throughout elementary school. Ernie was in our class since second grade at Hollywood Park. Then we were at Joaquin Miller and McClatchy and I remember him very well. He was kind, funny and perceptive. I saw him last at the 20th or 25th reunion and was sorry to hear the news of his passing.
Earnie was just one of the gang. All of us, I feel had a great time together during those days at all the schools. Actually Earnie moved in across rhe street from my mom on Irvin way.. He was a great guy
I also was with Ernie throughout grade school and high school. He joined our scout troop of which contained many more of our classmates. A good solid guy who enjoyed life and loved to laugh. Gene Gerhart
