School Story:
Mr. Stivers began his career at Mc Clatchy High School in 1945 as a mathematics teacher. He assumed the position of Vice Principal in 1948 and was elevated to Principal after Samuel Pepper's retirement in 1962. He was deeply involved in the development of John F. Kennedy High School and became its first Principal in 1967. After a heart attack in 1968, he continued on as an educator in the district office. He passed away November 13, 1996.
