Fran was my best friend and next door neighbor throughout junior hi and hi school. I sublet her aparrtment in Davis during summer school, at UCD and missed her terriibly when she left for pharmacy school in San Francisco. I was in touch with her daughter Andrea some time ago.
I hope someone will correct the spelling of her name - it is SHALZ
Fran was a good friend - I always admired her athletic talents and a certain poise that set her apart. I remember evenings at Candy Frame's house and the wild rides home her mother took us on when I spent the evening at Fran's. I was far away when my parents gave me news of her death- and it hit me very hard. There is still a great sadness that she had so little time. Barbara Stivers Hulett
Remember when Frances gave us (Mike Bolton and I) a ride from Tower Records. She had that sweet/hesitant smile and a calming and gracious personality at such a young age. Her father was an alum of my fraternity at Cal. I'm sorry she left us so young...

We still need to correct spelling. Frances often reminded me that the femine Frances is spelled with an "e" as e is curvy like a woman.

Frances has regained her curves. Thanks for the insight.
