In my brief conversation with Bob at the 50th reunion, he came across as a very caring and sensitive person.  Rest in peace.

I thought that Bob & I went back to the 1st grade at the original Sutterville school om Sutterville Rd. But he reminded me recenty that we went to kindergarden at Crocker Elementry! Both our families built houses & moved South of the park in 1949. Sutterville 1st grade was in the original 1890's wood schoolhouse South of the newer 1920's Sutterville School. Lke Pat Wong said, Between Vietnam & 25 years on the Sac PD made Bob a little rough arouns the edges. But deep down a heart of Gold! Volunteered for years at Shrine Children's Hospital. Ther's s corny TV furniture store ad! "Oh my Bob!" Theres a lot of people asking that right now!

Bob Taylor's service at the Scottish Rite Temple on this Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 was well attended & well done. McClatchy friends, Police department friends, Car club guys from the car clubs that Bob belonged to!  Bob's son in law managed the ceremony. & did a superb job. A great send-off!
