Sylvia Mead was a friend since second grade at Hollywood Park Elementary School. She along with Ann Blumberg, Susan Spayde, Valerie Sartori, Steve Walker, Chuck Batie, Jim Smith, Cliff Cortright, and Leo Starnes would periodically have a small "second grader" reunion in Sacramento. I was so sorry to read that Sylvia had passed away. We sat at the same table at the 55th class reunion, and I was so pleased that she was so lively and outgoing. Nancy Benson, Valerie Sartori, Karin Lyle, and Sylvia used to ride together to McClatchy every morning. RIP, Sylvia.
