I have to say that if it hadn't been for Jim, I would never have passed physiology.  He not only helped with (did) my entire science project, he also managed to quiz me before every test, and seemed to have a sixth sense about what would be on that test!

Generally he was just a very nice guy and smart too!

Hard for me to accept that he is gone. What a great friend Jim was to me for all these years. His memory will live on with me until my time comes.

I can't  say that  I knew Jim Holmes, maybe to say hello to, and I DO recognize him from the photo.  I think he was a friend to Gail Wasserman (don't know Gail's married name).  But, it is always sad to hear of a contemporary's passing.  Recently, with the untimely death of Bonnie Bonetti Bell, with whom I was VERY close, not only way back when, but also throughout the years (especially since we both lived in the San Francisco Bay Area), it brings to mind how precious life is, and, gratefully, what a grand time I have had on this wonderful 75 year grand tour.  Hopefully, it will continue, for me,  and for all my classmates.  So, hello to Cynthia Crowell (married name?) and any and all of McClatchy alums who I don't see.  PLEASE come to the next re-union, I would love to see all of you.  Stay well,   I remain,  Barry Kauffman
